11:57
A PSA animation for the environmental impact of overpopulation. The doomsday clock is a symbolic clock made by scientists that represent the countdown to possible global catastrophe. 11:57 marks the current condition of the Earth on the doomsday clock. I worked on the team to create a campaign that puts into perspective the environmental harm that comes with overpopulation.
Concept
The animation focuses on the depletion of resources in direct relationship to overpopulation. The visual quality of this animation uses simple geometric forms and a monochromatic color scheme to convey the detrimental human impact on our natural world. .
Direction
A campaign that puts into perspective the environmental harm that comes with overpopulation. The narrative is structured around the depletion of resources that results when humans are only concerned about their personal well-being and how damage multiplies with our population.
Process
3 weeks of reading and exploring to nail down a meaningful visual narrative story of depletion of resources. 11 weeks of modeling, texturing. We made a team dropbox to share the modelings.

My Role
Each student made their own topic, including modeling, lighting, texturing and animation. In this project, my role was creating an ocean and water topic. After that, our team combined our topics into one animation.
